尊敬的各位嘉宾、青年朋友们：

大家下午好！本届亚洲青年领袖论坛即将闭幕，请允许我代表和平发展基金会对论坛的成功举办表示热烈的祝贺！对各位与会嘉宾对论坛的关心支持和积极参与表示衷心的感谢！

在这短暂的两天里，来自亚洲各地的嘉宾朋友齐聚美丽的广州南沙，围绕“增进青年合作，凝聚共同价值，促进亚洲和平与发展”这一主题，进行了广泛深入的交流探讨，取得了丰硕成果，增进了亚洲青年之间的互信与合作，进一步明确了推动亚洲社会经济高质量发展和构建亚洲命运共同体的广泛共识，具有十分重大的意义。

女士们、先生们、朋友们：

无论国际格局和世界经济如何调整，和平与发展仍是当今时代的主题，这是人类文明的方向、社会进步的要求、世界人民的期盼，也是中国党和政府始终坚持的理念。

青年是国家的未来、世界的未来，也是和平与发展这个时代主题最有力的支持者和践行者。总书记指出：“青年强，则国家强”“青年是亚洲的未来。”亚洲青年领袖作为亚洲未来的支柱和栋梁，应该立足亚洲、胸怀世界，始终以和平和发展的眼光看待亚洲的现在和未来。希望你们勇于担当、笃行不怠，在各自从事的领域大展宏图，争当引领亚洲各国和平与发展的时代先锋。

我们要坚持构建人类命运共同体的发展方向。构建人类命运共同体，是人类应对全球性挑战的必由之路，是增进各国人民福祉的光明大道。亚洲青年领袖要做亚洲和平的建设者、国家和地区发展的贡献者，致力于创造就业机会、减少贫富差距、消除社会矛盾，为增进各国人民的福祉贡献宝贵的智慧和蓬勃的力量。

我们要坚持开放包容、合作共赢的发展理念。亚洲多样性特点突出，各国历史传统、文化形态、社会制度和利益诉求多种多样。亚洲青年领袖要秉承开放包容的精神，当好文明使者，深化交流互鉴，尊重彼此社会、文化和发展道路。同时要把握时代机遇，加强合作共赢，积极参与和支持亚洲各国扩大开放、加深融合，为亚洲经济复苏发展注入新的动力。

我们要坚持开拓创新、科学绿色的发展道路。当前，新一轮科技革命和产业变革深入发展，创新领域、创新方式深刻调整。亚洲青年领袖要起到榜样引领作用，勇立创新潮头、激发创新活力、释放创新能量，成为各领域创新的生力军。总书记指出，生态文明是人类文明发展的历史趋势。亚洲青年领袖们要坚持人与自然和谐共生的发展理念，以实际行动加强生态环境保护，倡导绿色低碳生活，抓住碳达峰、碳中和的发展机遇，努力在相关领域加快产业绿色转型，让绿色发展理念融入亚洲商业文明，把绿色作为亚洲疫后复苏的底色。

女士们、先生们、朋友们：

亚洲历史源远流长，是人类文明的重要瑰宝。亚洲具有开放包容的传统，也拥有登高望远的智慧。一个和平稳定、发展繁荣的亚洲是当今世界发展的大势所趋，也是所有亚洲人民的民心所向。让我们手挽手、肩并肩，以更加开放的姿态、更加坚实的步伐，摒弃隔阂，凝聚共识，同心协力，同舟共济，携手共建和平、团结、发展、繁荣的亚洲大家庭，为亚洲更加美好的未来而努力奋斗！

Good afternoon. The Asia Youth Leaders Forum is coming to an end. On behalf of the China Foundation for Peace and Development I’d like to extend my warm congratulations on the forum’s successful organization and my heartfelt thanks to all the guests here for your support and active participation.

In these brief two days, friends from all over Asia gathered in this beautiful Nansha, Guangzhou, to exchange ideas around enhancing youth cooperation, strengthening common values, and promoting peace and development in Asia and engage in in-depth discussions, which has led to fruitful results. It has enhanced trust and cooperation among Asian youth and consolidated the consensus on promoting high-quality social and economic development in Asia and building an Asian community with a shared future, which is of great significance.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Dear friends,

No matter how the international political and economic landscapes manifest themselves peace and development are still the main theme of our times. They are the evolution of the human civilization, the requirement of social progress, the expectation of peoples of the world, and the philosophy that the CPC and the Chinese government have adopted.

Youth are the future of the country and the future of the world, as well as the most avid supporters and practitioners of this theme of peace and development. President Xi Jinping has pointed out that great youth make a great country and that youth is the future of Asia. Asian youth leaders, the pillars of Asia’s future, should bear both Asia and the world in mind and always look at the present and future of Asia from the perspective of peace and development. I hope that you will take on responsibilities, cut no slack, and realize your ambitions in your respective sectors, becoming the bellwether of peace and development in Asia.

We must uphold building a community with a shared future for humanity. Building such a community is the only solution to global challenges and the way to wellbeing of the peoples of the world. Asian youth leaders should be the builders of peace in Asia and contributors to national and regional development.

You should devote yourselves to creating jobs, reducing the wealth gap, and eliminating social conflicts, as a way to contribute brain and brawn to the wellbeing of people of all countries.

We must uphold openness, inclusiveness, and win-win cooperation. Asia is characterized by outstanding diversity, with different traditions, cultures, social systems, and interests in different countries. Asian youth leaders should be open and inclusive, act as ambassadors of the civilizations, deepen exchanges and mutual learning, and respect each other’s society, culture and development path. You should also seize the opportunities of this age, engage in win-win cooperation, and contribute to improved openness and deepened integration among Asian countries, injecting new life into Asia’s economic recovery and development.

We must uphold innovation-driven, scientific, and green development. At present, the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation is making headway, and the fields and methods of innovation are undergoing changes. Asian youth leaders should set an example of engaging in innovation with courage and unleashing the potential for innovation, becoming the new backbones of innovation in all fields. President Xi Jinping has noted that ecological civilization is a trend in the progress of the human civilization. Asian youth leaders should adhere to the philosophy of harmonious coexistence between human and nature, take concrete actions to reinforce environmental protection and to advocate a low-carbon lifestyle, seize the opportunities of the “dual carbon goals” to accelerate the green transformation of industries in related fields, so as to integrate the concept of green development into the Asian business culture and make the color green the background of Asia’s post-COVID recovery.

Asia has a long history and is an important treasure of human civilization. Asia has a tradition of openness and inclusiveness, as well as the wisdom to look ahead. A peaceful, stable, developing, and prosperous Asia is the trend of world development and the aspiration of all Asian people. Let us join hands, overcome differences to build consensus with a more open and resolute attitude, support each other, and build a peaceful, united, developed, and prosperous Asia, working for an even better future of Asia.
